The board believes that a dynamic and efficient staff dedicated to the improvement of student learning is necessary to maintain a constantly improving educational program. To this end, the board will strive to provide a school environment that will attract and maintain the best qualified persons whose mission will be to provide the best possible learning opportunities for the students enrolled.

 

The superintendent is charged with the responsibility for development and implementation of a personnel program that will recruit, select and employ the best qualified personnel, provide staff development for the improvement of their performance, and an appraisal program that will contribute to continuous improvement. Employment procedures will adhere to requirements established by the board (VUHS only – and will include meeting and approving final candidates).

 

Administration will use management strategies that involve the unique talents of staff in decisions that affect their area of responsibility and develop relationships necessary to obtain maximum staff performance and a high level of job satisfaction.
