Since all powers of the school board derived from State Statutes are granted in terms of action as a group, individual members exercise authority only as they vote at a legal meeting of the board. In other instances, an individual member will have power only when delegated by a vote of the board. The board and its members will deal directly with the superintendent and will not give direction to any other employee of the school district.

Each member will support group decisions representing the board as a whole. This does not preclude a member from voicing a minority viewpoint, but should be indicated as personal, not board opinion.
