All meetings of the board, except for executive sessions, will be open to the public.

Regular meetings will be held according to a schedule fixed in advance unless otherwise set by action of the board. Special meetings of the board may be called by the chair or by action of the board. The meeting schedule will be published and made available to the news media by the superintendent. An agenda for each meeting will be prepared by the chair, superintendent, and principal. All meetings will be conducted in accordance with the Vermont Open Meeting Law and Robert's Rules of Order. A majority of board members present will constitute a quorum.

The minutes of each meeting constitute the written record of board action. The minutes will include:

1) Time, date, and location of meeting.

2) Members, staff and guests present.

3) Summary of all discussion.

4) All motions made, including names of members making and seconding the motions and a record of the vote. Record will show how individual board members voted only if requested.

Minutes will be kept on file as a permanent record in the office of the superintendent and made available to the public upon request. Copies of minutes will be included with the agenda in advance of each meeting of the board unless requested otherwise. Unless specifically determined by the board, minutes of executive sessions will not be kept.
