The Addison Northwest Supervisory Union recognizes
its public trust and responsibility to provide an appropriate education to
each student served in our schools, within the resources available. The district shall provide equal educational
opportunity and treatment for all students without regard to race, creed,
color, national origin, sex, marital status, or physical, sensory, or mental
handicaps. In pursuing the educational opportunities furnished
by the schools, students and their parents/guardians are encouraged to assume
partnership responsibilities. Students must abide by reasonable rules of
order, and at the same time expect corrective action will be fairly meted
out. Discipline's purpose should be to modify errant behavior rather than to
punish. Parents are also encouraged to communicate with the
schools regarding the education of their children in order to reinforce
student learning. As partners in the education process, parents and
the school personnel can better provide for the intellectual and physical
well being of all students. |
