Mr. Stapleford's Class
Mr. Stapleford
Mr. Stapleford is the coolest teacher ever. He is getting his masters in math at Vermont Math Institute. He is a big sports fan. He loves the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. He often plays football with us during recess. We never know what to expect in his class, he often makes us laugh. He likes to have fun when fun is necessary, but when we have to work, he is strict.
We have a Smart Board in our room and it is very helpful. We have 8 laptops and 4 regular computers. Mr. S is an Intel teacher. We use the computers a lot during the school day, especially during social studies and science. We use a graphic organizer that is on the Intel Web Site. We are using it right now to show how pollution effects water quality.
Our schedule has been loaded with awesome field trips and activities, like going on a whale watch, the Flynn Theater and paddling on Dead Creek. We went to the grave yard, dressed up like pirates, and traded junk. We did all of this because of a book called Tom Sawyer. We are going to spend the night at the habitat because we have been reading outdoor books. We are making lanterns and we will walk to Otter Creek at night. We will walk without any lights at midnight! We will have Mr. Stapleford's dog to keep us company.
Our reading book was Where The Red Fern Grows. It was a sad book, but also exciting. For reading,  everybody reads the same book. We read one chapter a night. Then we discuss it in class the next day.
We  plan on going to the Flying Pig bookstore to buy a book for the class library. We have a good library of books in our classroom.
We are looking forward to the Canadian Field trip. We will stay in Ottawa for three days.
In conclusion, we are looking forward to many things through  the year. It is our last year at FCS, and we plan to make the most of it. That is the lay out of our year.

       Signed,

Phoebe, Lindsay, and Jordan
