Under the Sea
By Joanna and Ruby
Grade Two

This clownfish lives among anemone. The anemone are poisonous to other fish,
but the clownfish seems to be able to get along with the anemone!

This moray eel lives in coral reefs or rocky areas of tropical seas.
The eel is a nocturnal fish and has a body like a snake.

Sting Rays live in warm water on the bottom of shores that are sandy or muddy.
They live in waters from New Jersey to Brazil.

A sheephead fish has buck teeth. It eats hard-to-open prey like crabs and sea urchins.
Every sheephead is born a female and after they are partly grown,
if there are a lot of female sheephead fish around, it will change into a male.
If there are a lot of males, it will stay a female.

We picked the topic of coral reefs for research. We used books, the internet, especially the site Enchanted Learning.com.

My name is Joanna. I am eight years old. I  am  very  interested  in  art. I like to work with Ruby so I decided to help her with this web page. I liked learning about the sheephead fish.

My name is Ruby. I am almost nine years old. I was interested in the coral reef because I was going to Mexico. While I was in Mexico, I got to scuba in the coral reef. It was really fun. The octupus was the most interesting animal that I saw there. It was very small, about four or five inches long.  I am almost 9 years old and I think that art is fun! I like to look at pictures when I draw.
