Evergreen Preschool

The Evergreen Preschool was founded in 1982 by four Vergennes-area women who wanted a preschool for their children. From our early beginning in the basement of the Vergennes Congregational Church with fifteen children and two teachers, we have grown into a full-fledged school with a professional staff and thirty-two children. Located in the former parsonage of the Congregational Church, we offer 2-day and 3-day programs for children aged three to five, and support to their families.

Evergreen Preschool is committed to providing a top quality educational program for young children and a supportive environment for their families. We create an exciting and welcoming learning environment, inspire the love of learning through literature, art, music, movement, exploration, and play, and encourage each child to develop the self-confidence that comes from meeting challenges successfully.

Evergreen Preschool is accredited by the National Academy of Early Childhood Programs and is a member of the EPS/ANWSU Learning Partnership. Evergreen has also received State of Vermont Five STARS (Step Ahead Recognition System) recognition.
