EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT TEAM
Every ANWSU school has at least one Educational Support Team (EST). The EST is made up of staff from a variety of positions within the school. They review referrals on individual students who may need program changes or additional supports to be successful in school. Referrals are made by parents, classroom teachers, or other school staff. From the range of services and supports in the school’s Educational Support System (ESS), the EST designs a plan to assist the student.
Parents of a student who is experiencing difficulty may want to refer their child to the EST, or to have more information about the process. They can do so by contacting the principal or guidance counselor of the student’s school.
